If Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world, it is because the French capital fascinates with its streets full of history, its iconic addresses, and its hidden little shops where only regulars are admitted. At Le Tanneur, we have been strolling through the cobblestone streets of Paris since 1898, and we thought it would be a good idea to gather our best addresses in a small guide to keep during your stay, and then pass it on to someone who, like you, deserves to enjoy it.

Many crafts and skills are involved in the making of our leather pieces, especially for an exceptional line like Madeleine. Its taurillon leather comes from a century-old family tannery that offers some of the finest leathers in the world. Let's head to Espelette, in the Southwest, to learn more about the Rémy Carriat tannery and their love for (very) beautiful materials.

After the success of our first collaboration—a series of tablecloths inspired by the Mediterranean—the Marseille-based artist-designer now reveals the full extent of her talent through two canvas and leather pieces: a tote bag, model 125, and a clutch, both embroidered pieces blending summer softness with beautiful materials.
